Overview

The Information Security & Compliance Manager’s role is to plan, organize, and manage staff to ensure stable operation of the organization’s Information Security infrastructure. This includes supporting, developing, maintaining, and optimizing key functional areas aligned with deployed security solutions throughout the network and data center facilities. The Information Security & Compliance Manager will schedule security related production changes, oversee implementations, address identified manager escalations, assist in policies/procedure development, provide oversight on incident calls, conduct security awareness presentations, collaborate with IT Security vendors, resolve hardware and software problems in a timely and accurate fashion. Will liaise with different facets of IT and other departments to solve potential risk issues and deliver sound countermeasures.

Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance to resources on day-to-day Information Security operations, and key business initiatives.
  • Lead activity on information security incidents, identification, isolations and agreed upon remediation.
  • Coordinate analysis activity on suspicious security events, leading to key security trends to monitor.
  • Identify potential processes that may require enhanced security controls & develop a remediation plan.
  • Lead the process for creating and/or updating documentation, policies, and diagrams required for security and compliance audits.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain standard policies, procedures and training programs for associates.
  • Create health reports and key security metrics on deployed security applications/tools.
  • Lead and coordinate activities associated with Incident Management processes.
  • Monitor monthly patching process, and security remediation for multiple Level I PCI DSS audits.
  • Enhance existing Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity Plans (BCP). Perform regular testing, simulated event testing, and document findings.
  • Participate in new projects and the development of IT strategies with department heads, stakeholders, and decision-makers.
  • Leading and coaching of security team resources and assisting in their professional growth
  • Monitor production changes (standard, emergency, break/fix). All production changes require sound rollback and contingency plan.
  • Participate in vendor/industry security focused events in DFW area.  
  • Manage enterprise software entitlements, agreements, contracts, and assist with vendor relationships.
  • Establish security centric service level agreements with business units and internal departments.
  • Track all 3rd party security vendors and emerging road-map, maintenance and training available.
  • Assist with the planning and deployment of infrastructure security measures.
  • Assist with budgeting and managing operations costs.

Qualifications

  • Strong customer service and negotiation skill
  • Ability to grasp complex elements and identify applicable security controls
  • High energy and a sense of urgency a must.
  • Passion for motivating and mentoring IT team members with strong collaboration delivery.
  • Can-do attitude delivering Information Security as a service.
  • 6 years managing and delivering information security services and operational excellence.
  • Hands-on experience in troubleshooting various information security issues.
  • Experience and discipline with a variety of security tools.
  • Change management process experience.
  • PMO experience or understanding of key principles.
  • Excellent written and in-person communication skills.
  • Security Certifications - CISSP, CISM
  • Bachelor’s degree (preferably Information Technology field). Will consider equivalent professional experience.
