Overview

The Quality Assurance Manager will manage a team of Quality Assurance Analysts inclusive of the software development lifecycle across multiple business units, technologies, and external vendors to prepare and execute test plans designed to ensure project requirements are efficiently met while mitigating business risk.

Responsibilities

  • Manages Quality Assurance team members inclusive of software development lifecycle, release management, bug/enhancement prioritization, administer release management tools.
  • Coordinates & prioritizes QA analyst resources to meet business needs testing across multiple technologies such as REST, Android, iOS, web UI, C#, JavaScript, SQL, Postman and other user interfaces.
  • Works with Development and Business Analysts to ensure appropriate documentation and other preparedness to support QA efforts.
  • Responsible for the plan, execution, control, and close processes within the project life cycle, including defining scope and requirements, setting up schedules and milestones, managing resources and timelines, and ensuring delivery of desired outcomes.
  • Works closely with management and business partners to align objects and balance resources.
  • Compiles and maintains all elements of test projects, including schedules, costs, work activities, resources, risks, results, manages communications to stakeholders including management/executives
  • Serves as driver and leader across product releases to ensure appropriate decisions are made regarding bugs/enhancements identified.       Incorporates stakeholder input while driving the appropriate business outcomes.
  • Analyzes deficiencies in service or performance and recommends product or service improvements to address problems within the software/products.
  • Coordinates with the appropriate resolution owner of all bugs/defects, documenting and communicating effectively to the project teams on any updates or roadblocks. Responsible for keeping all bug/enhancement tickets up to date in all tracking tools.
  • Acts as change agent driving continuous improvement to the testing cycle inclusive of new tools, processes, ability to streamline and optimize test plans to minimize business risk while executing a clean test cycle.

Qualifications

  • 5 years’ background in software Quality Assurance and software development lifecycle management
  • 1-3 years’ experience deploying test automation across multiple technologies
  • 1-3 years’ experience in the payments industry
  • Strong experience using project management methodology and processes
  • Strong experience using requirement & defect management software, such as HP Quality Center
  • Experience in organizational management and communication
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
