    First American Payment Systems is seeking a highly-skilled, experienced Vice President of IT Project Management to join our IT leadership team. In this role, you will provide management and oversight of the Project Management team and demonstrate a commitment to project management excellence. You will collaborate with senior leaders in order to meet the company’s objectives and will have a passion for success with a proven record of successful strategic project planning and implementation.


    • Manage a team of diverse, multi-disciplined professionals that oversee large and/or complex IT projects,

    • Responsible for the planning, execution, control and close processes with the project life cycle. This includes defining scope and requirements, setting up schedules and milestones, managing resources and timelines, and ensuring delivery of desired outcomes,

    • Hire, train and develop team members,

    • Involve stakeholders in establishing project goals and timelines

    • Ensure executives and leadership have visibility to key project status, strategic decisions and risk issues.

    • Lead status update meetings,

    • Oversee team operations; ensuring projects are completed on time and on budget,

    • Set clear goals and objectives for the team,

    • Report directly to Executive Vice President and CIO,

    • Delegate responsibilities to team members; providing guidance and direction,

    • Ensure processes and decisions drive consistency and speed to market,

    • Maintain awareness of market and industry trends,

    • Assist in the translation of generalized customer business goals and objectives into concrete tactical plans,

    • Organize and manage project work, system updates/enhancements, and support activities. This includes estimating project activities, acquiring resources, and defining deliverables, and

    • Continuously improve project management principles across the organization.


    • Strong leadership and team management skills,

    • 8+ years’ project management and leadership experience in an IT environment,

    • Experience providing IT solutions in a Waterfall and Agile SDLC environment required,

    • Payments industry experience preferred,

    • Experience negotiating contracts, and

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Business/Finance, Programming, Computer Science or related field.
